Ricoffy Heritage Tin

This below illustration is creative work by Morena Moletsane, the design is a tribute to all things South African. From South Africa's national rugby team, local tourist attractions such as Vilakazi Street, the beautiful protea and the fast paced culture we have grown to love. These traits have brought about proud moments in the hearts of many South Africans.

With over 400 design applications for the Heritage Tin campaign, this design along with two other designs won over the hearts of many voters in the year 2020. The Springbok tin design will forever be a memorable piece that came before the many illustrative Ricoffy tins that we see in stores today.

Heritage Campaign

NESCAFÉ Ricoffy takes pride in playing a vital role in South African households and South Africa’s various cultural backgrounds. The Heritage Tin design competition required designers to submit something representing their countries pride, something that speaks to being proudly South African.

The 3 designs to be chosenc had to be inspired by the authentic moments. The final design crafted by Morena Moletsane translated as an ode to the Springbok National team. Having seen the rugby team lift the World Cup in the year 2019, it was most fitting to show a representation of the animal, along with other famous attractions of the country. These chosen visuals won over the hearts of voters and the limited edition design found a place in retails stores across the whole of South Africa and various African countries across the continent in 2020.
